SBI ATM GREEN PIN Generation through SMS, ATM, INB and IVR System.

Recently, the largest bank in india "State Bank of India" has discontinued the process of issuing ATM PINs at their branches for customers, Who got their ATM cards through courier. 

To Serve better, now they introduced GREEN PIN (eco-friendly and paperless banking) facility to digitizing the entire bouquet of its ATM services. A State Bank Debit Cardholder can generate his/her PIN (i.e., new PIN or Re-PIN) through the following channels:



Through ATM:
  • Visit any of your nearest SBI ATM.
  • Click on the ‘PIN Generation‘ option (Bottom right of the ATM Screen)
  • Enter your Account Number
  • Enter your registered Mobile Number and Confirm the same by re-entering it.
  • Now you will get an OTP (One Time Password) in your Mobile Number.
  • Use the OTP to change your ATM/Debit card Pin Number on any State Bank ATM.
Through SMS:

• SMS PINCCCCAAAA to 567676 from registered mobile number where CCCC is the last four digits of the Debit Card number and AAAA is the last four digits of account number 

• Example: PIN 1540 5987 where “1540”is the last four digits of the Debit Card number and “5987” is the last four digits of account number 

• One Time PIN (OTP) will be sent on registered mobile number 

• OTP will be valid for 2 days 

• Cardholder has to create new PIN using OTP at any State Bank ATM (Banking > PIN Change) to carry out further transactions 

Through Internet Banking:

• Log in to https://www.onlinesbi.com/ using your internet banking User ID and password 

• Select e-Services >> ATM Card Services >> ATM PIN Generation 

• Use One Time Password or profile password for authentication. 

• Select the account number to which the Debit Card is linked 

• Select the Debit Card for which you wish to create/change the PIN 

• Enter first 2 digits of the PIN as per yourchoice and the last two digits of the PIN will be sent on the registered mobile number 

• Enter all the four digits (i.e., the first two digit self chosen and the 2 digits sent to registered mobile number) and confirm 

• These 4 digits will be the new PIN 

Cardholder has to create new PIN using OTP at any State Bank ATM (Banking > PIN Change) to carry out further transactions 

Through SBI Call Center:

• Cardholder has to call the Bank’s Contact Centre (1800 425 3800/ 1800 1122 11/080-26599990) from his/her registered mobile number 

• Cardholder has to enter full Card number and account number 

• One Time PIN (OTP) will be sent on registered mobile number 

• OTP will be valid for 2 days 

 • Cardholder has to create new PIN using OTP at any State Bank ATM (Banking > PIN Change) to carry out further transactions.

Through SBI Quick App:
  • Download SBI Quick App from your Android App store / IOS App Store.
  • Just register yourself by using registered mobile number in your account
  • Choose option ATM cum Debit Card --> Generate Green Pin
  • Give your last four digits of your ATM card Number and Last Four digits of your Account Number
  • Send the message and then One Time PIN (OTP) will be sent on registered mobile number 
  • OTP will be valid for 2 days 
  • Cardholder has to create new PIN using OTP at any State Bank ATM (Banking > PIN Change) to carry out further transactions.
